Remember when I showed you this HomeGood Find?

Well I figured out what I'm going to do with them. My friend Tamika is hosting our next women's group and she has commissioned me to help plan the event. This is where these cute items come in. We will be using them as party favors. I love the play on words and have decided to work this concept in the entire party. Starting with the invite....Check it out below.

Construction Party

Today I went to a great party for my friends Heather and Chris. Heather is an amazing mother and spent countless hours making a dump truck cake. I thought it was so fabulous I had to share. Happy Birthday Alex

Lollipop Trees

I was searching the blog land the other day and ran across a blog tutorial from Not Just a Mommy on Lollipop Trees(originated from Twisting Entertainment). I thought that this was a great idea! To check out full tutorial go here.

This was my first attempt with the lollipop tree. Not as easy as I would have thought and the most time consuming part is the ribbon. Making sure its the right size then pinning it on is very tedious. Additionally, if your lollipops have long sticks, this can present a problem with placing them in the cone. I suggest you cut them down. However, I must say when your done it's a beautiful compliment to any dessert buffet. If your not in for a craft you can also order them from Cheree Berry Paper

Check out the beginning construction of mine. I'll complete the rest closer to the party.

I'm also going to mix it up a little and add these lollilpops.

Still in Florida and a new giveaway idea

We are leaving sunny Florida today to go back to the snow...oh so sad. My son had a great birthday and wanted to be referred to as the "Birthday Boy" all week long. 4 is going to be very funny.

While I was here, I received several e-mails regarding my do-it-yourself invitations on Microsoft Word and thought this would be a great giveaway. So I am thinking of several ideas as to how I want to present this giveaway and as soon as I have it finalized, I will post Enchanted Expectations very first giveaway. How exciting!

Buried in snow and computer crash

My computer crashed a couple of days ago. I'm so very lost. The tech could not get here because of the 24 inches of snow. To top off this great weekend, my Monday flight to Florida has been cancelled. So now we fly out on my sons birthday, breakfast with the characters is lost, but we still have Disney. So tomorrow I will be going out buying my son some balloons and a cupcake to celebrate his birthday. It's been crazy, but at least time was put on hold and we had a great weekend together as a family. See you all whenever this computer is fixed.
