Easter Egg Hunt

Since I'm not having a 4th Birthday Party for my son this year(We are holding out for the big 5), I decided that I had to do something. I was minding my business walking through Homegoods (lol) and found these fun colored lollipops. I love the colors Orange and Turquoise. My immediate thought went to Easter followed by an Easter Egg Hunt(Yes I know this is early). I rushed home and developed the invitation (Microsoft Word-Gotta love it)Pictured below. Enjoy!

I also found a ton of other items for Easter at Homegoods. I will share those later. for this party I also plan to order cupcake toppers and possibly a banner from Party Box Design. If you haven't already, go check out all of her great items. I'm in love with them.

K is for Keilani Baby Shower

This was the first office shower that I have ever created. The backdrop to the shower was a small basement/meeting room in our building. I think we made the most of what we had to work with and everyone really enjoyed the party.

Guest of Honor

Sweet Shoppe Table

Filled with candy, pink and green lollipops, cotton candy, marshmallow pops with a K, cupcakes & multiple butterflies

Party Decor

I did take my chances and put up several wall decals that I found at Homegoods and thanks to Amy at Stem Parties(she gave me the tip to go to the dollar store). Didn't get in any trouble Yeah!

I also filled the place with as many butterflies as I could.

For the party game. We played pictionary with all baby clues. It was very competitive. Isn't it always when men are involved?

Thanks Kristi(pictured below), Colette(out sick) and Emesha(refused a picture) for all of your help!

Two Wonderful Blogs with Free Giveaways

Two of my favorite blogs have giveaways going on right now!

First is Birthday Girl. What a fab blog and she is offering a custom party inspiration board. If you haven't seen her inspiration boards you are missing out. They are fabulous and full of color.
Second is Mammalicious Finds. I love this site because she finds the most fabulous items. This time, she is giving away cupcake party tags from Party Box Design(also a fav blog of mine). I LOOOOVE the items that Jessica makes. They are so cute and any party planner would feel lucky to win this prize.

Homegoods Finds

I don't mean to sound like a broken record. But I love Homegoods. My husband really believes that I should buy stock in it because he knows it's only going up with me shopping there.

Anywho, I have found three great items for my upcoming parties. I have been eyeing this cupcake stand for a while. I promised myself that I would only get it if I could use it for more that one party. So be prepared to see this a lot!

These plates and napkins screamed Sex and the City when I saw them and knew that they would be perfect. I'm going more for that Charlotte look.

Wouldn't this be a cute sign holder for the Princess and the Frog Party. It was on clearance too. Gotta love Homegoods.

Background Wall Art

I found these great adhesive dots (at Homegoods of course)that is instant decor for the wall behind your party table. It brings that extra pizazz to your decorations.

Though I said I was not going to post anything else about the upcoming shower, I had to share this because I fell in love and I'm so excited about how my wall art turned out. I just purchased two canvas art pieces(comes in a pack of 2 at Michael's for 7.99), added the adhesive dots, ribbon, a purple painted wooden letter(from Michael's) and one butterfly..

... and here is the end result!

I wish that I could have placed them right on the wall, but this is a great alternative since the location for the shower will not allow it.

Christmas is coming!

Oh Christmas is my favorite time of year. You wouldn't know it since I have not posted one single Christmas Decoration, idea or inspiration. Well I normally don't go searching the web for them. I usually just do what's in my heart and make it work. I'm pretty low key when it comes to Christmas Decorations in my home. A couple of candles in the window, wreath and a Christmas Tree does it for me. Check out my tree and all the coordinated gift wrapping below.

Diaper Cakes & Baby Baskets

It use to be that I was asked to do Diaper Cakes a lot. Now, they are few and far between. Have we evolved so fast that Diaper Cakes are a thing of the past? Well I'm not ready to let go yet. I will be doing a few more before I retire this past popular trend. maybe even adding a couple of new twist!

Fabulous Find

As you all may have figured out by now, I live in Homegoods. I think they have the best party items and I find great inspiration there. This is my latest find. Not sure what I'm using it for as of yet, but I'm sure we will have a good time whatever it is.

Orange and Grey Swap Party

We had a fantastic time at this party. Everyone wants to do it again. Since several of the women have develop a great new healthy lifestyle and we all needed a wardrobe overload, this was perfect way to get it done without spending any money.
I had a hard time going through the pictures choosing which ones to post because each picture reminded me of the great night we had and I want to continue to re-live that.
So, get ready for a lot of pictures!

Food and Beverage Display

Of course orange Jones soda's and glass orange water bottles(homegoods) brought the party colors to our drinks.

Cute little charms with grey ribbon were added to the wine glasses

I brought the orange and grey colors to the food display. Thank you to Amber of Chocolate and Mangos and Keisha of Cupcake Whishes and Birthday Dreams for giving me such great idea's on how I should use the orange and grey paper.

This was my first time wrapping cupcakes. I had wrappers on some and put flags on the other.

Can't have a party without party cones. These were petite cones. I'm not sure how much you can tell that via the picture.

Emesha had a great selection of food. Spinach and croissant puffs, crab balls, sandwich wraps, and salmon with a Jamaican pineapple glaze. Her mother made this amazing pound cake with an alcohol infused whipped cream. Everyone went crazy over it.

Swapping Stations

I got the idea for the bags from Christi at P is for Party. I thought this was a great inexpensive idea. I ordered the bags from Papermart.com. They have an endless supply of shopping bags in every color you can imagine.

Favors
Emesha wanted to give each lady her signature Orange Martini. What more festive way to do this than in Shop til you drop Martini glasses. I found these at Homegoods. Each lady received one as part of their take home gifts.

They also received a clothes sachet, which smelled amazing. Found these at Homegoods also. They were in a box of 12 which made for an inexpensive favor.
We really had a great time and we all walked out with smiles on our faces and several bags. The rest of the left over clothes found a great home at the Owings Mills Goodwill.
