Bee's & Bears Baby Shower-Brown & Yellow

Theme: Bees, Bears & Baby -Sweet as Honey

With some doubt-due to color combination(not my favorite if I failed to mention-lol), I think the shower turned out pretty spectacular.

This was a budget friendly shower with a lot of dollar store finds. I get so excited when I find the perfect items at a great price!

Here goes the details

Dessert Table

The backdrop was made of 3 foam boards on sell at Micheal's for .99 a piece. I just hot glued them together and added some scotch tape. Then I wrapped it with the perfect light yellow wrapping paper from the dollar tree. I made the banner with polka dot paper found at Hobby Lobby for .59 with 50% off. I used about 4 12x12 sheets. The brown ribbon was found at Micheal's for 1.99 with 50 % off. The the bonus of planning early, you get to take advantage of all the sales.

My first attempt at making poms. They were pretty easy & inexpensive

I made all the signage myself to cute down on cost. I used the scrap paper from the banner and used sticker paper from Staples. Then cut it out with a circle hole puncher. Less expensive than buying the circle labels.
My 1.99(for 5) bees from Hobby Lobby was placed throughout the shower.
Candy was purchased at Bulkfoods.com. I like them because different sizes are available and the price is great. Plus you can't beat the $5 shipping. My delightful friend Heather made the perfect and adorable Bee and Bear cookies. I'm trying to get her to open up an etsy shop. She is a fabulous baker. They were so Yummy! That's right I tried one.

Who doesn't love Teddy Grahams. They were perfect for the theme. I also found these polka dot yellow favor boxes at the dollar tree-8 for a dollar. Super cute! Spring time Oreos(brown & yellow)-Perfect touch. They even had a bee on some of them.

Cake and Cupcakes from Cakes Plus (of course). To save on the budget I suggested to the host to get a smaller cake and then the rest of the party received cupcakes. Same great taste with variety in flavors. Can't beat that!

Another look at the Centerpieces. I did add a sign that brought an additional personal touch to the shower. For the budget friendly prices read my previous post here.

The location had bare white walls. If I had more of a budget I would have definitely filled this space with more decorations. But, the simplicity of the white table clothes, brown chairs, yellow poms and cute centerpieces did just fine on their own.

Off to the side was the food table with brown linen clothes and yellow overlays(I left before this was completely set with food-remember I don't do food-lol). All linens were from my collection. But they were purchased at my go to spot- efavormart.com

Hope you enjoyed!
