Background Wall Art

I found these great adhesive dots (at Homegoods of course)that is instant decor for the wall behind your party table. It brings that extra pizazz to your decorations.

Though I said I was not going to post anything else about the upcoming shower, I had to share this because I fell in love and I'm so excited about how my wall art turned out. I just purchased two canvas art pieces(comes in a pack of 2 at Michael's for 7.99), added the adhesive dots, ribbon, a purple painted wooden letter(from Michael's) and one butterfly..

... and here is the end result!

I wish that I could have placed them right on the wall, but this is a great alternative since the location for the shower will not allow it.

Christmas is coming!

Oh Christmas is my favorite time of year. You wouldn't know it since I have not posted one single Christmas Decoration, idea or inspiration. Well I normally don't go searching the web for them. I usually just do what's in my heart and make it work. I'm pretty low key when it comes to Christmas Decorations in my home. A couple of candles in the window, wreath and a Christmas Tree does it for me. Check out my tree and all the coordinated gift wrapping below.

Diaper Cakes & Baby Baskets

It use to be that I was asked to do Diaper Cakes a lot. Now, they are few and far between. Have we evolved so fast that Diaper Cakes are a thing of the past? Well I'm not ready to let go yet. I will be doing a few more before I retire this past popular trend. maybe even adding a couple of new twist!

Fabulous Find

As you all may have figured out by now, I live in Homegoods. I think they have the best party items and I find great inspiration there. This is my latest find. Not sure what I'm using it for as of yet, but I'm sure we will have a good time whatever it is.

Orange and Grey Swap Party

We had a fantastic time at this party. Everyone wants to do it again. Since several of the women have develop a great new healthy lifestyle and we all needed a wardrobe overload, this was perfect way to get it done without spending any money.
I had a hard time going through the pictures choosing which ones to post because each picture reminded me of the great night we had and I want to continue to re-live that.
So, get ready for a lot of pictures!

Food and Beverage Display

Of course orange Jones soda's and glass orange water bottles(homegoods) brought the party colors to our drinks.

Cute little charms with grey ribbon were added to the wine glasses

I brought the orange and grey colors to the food display. Thank you to Amber of Chocolate and Mangos and Keisha of Cupcake Whishes and Birthday Dreams for giving me such great idea's on how I should use the orange and grey paper.

This was my first time wrapping cupcakes. I had wrappers on some and put flags on the other.

Can't have a party without party cones. These were petite cones. I'm not sure how much you can tell that via the picture.

Emesha had a great selection of food. Spinach and croissant puffs, crab balls, sandwich wraps, and salmon with a Jamaican pineapple glaze. Her mother made this amazing pound cake with an alcohol infused whipped cream. Everyone went crazy over it.

Swapping Stations

I got the idea for the bags from Christi at P is for Party. I thought this was a great inexpensive idea. I ordered the bags from Papermart.com. They have an endless supply of shopping bags in every color you can imagine.

Favors
Emesha wanted to give each lady her signature Orange Martini. What more festive way to do this than in Shop til you drop Martini glasses. I found these at Homegoods. Each lady received one as part of their take home gifts.

They also received a clothes sachet, which smelled amazing. Found these at Homegoods also. They were in a box of 12 which made for an inexpensive favor.
We really had a great time and we all walked out with smiles on our faces and several bags. The rest of the left over clothes found a great home at the Owings Mills Goodwill.

Orange and Grey Swap Party

First use of the wonderful paper. The party is next week and I have done nothing. So not like me. I guess I'm still on vaction in Vegas(By the way I had a blast!)

Today I decided to use the paper that I found and bag up some orange M&M's I thought this was very cute. If you have any other thoughts on how I can use the paper, please share. I'm always looking for new ideas.

Swap/Women's Group Party

Our next women's group is coming up in November. As I posted a couple of weeks ago, I am assisting my friend with hosting this group. The colors are orange and grey. I think these colors are so chic. We also decided to do a clothes/accessories swap party at the group. I was in love with the swap party put on by Christi at P is for Party and knew right away that this was the next party I was doing. I was so inspired by her design and color choices.

Below is the invitation that I developed with the help of Microsoft Word. I also found the most perfect paper. I can't wait to use it everywhere at the party. Stay Tuned!

Skating Birthday Party

The skating party went so great. The kids had a blast. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the actual kids skating because I was decorating for the skating after party that was located at the birthday girls home.

The Invitation that set the tone for the day

Here is the Birthday Girl

Cake

Once again Cakes Plus of Laurel Maryland did a great job of creating the perfect color and design for the skating party. I just love the skates on the top.

Favors

Purple Satin boxes from Michael's dollar section. I just added a purple and green polka dot bow and stuffed it with green tissue paper and Friendship necklace with two charms that said Laugh and Love

Make your own bracelet

The kids had a great time making their own fashion bracelet.

Sweet Shoppe

There was so much candy, cookies and treats that it almost didn't fit. This was a kids heaven.

I made the pretzel sticks, marshmallow pops and cones.

Marshmallow lollipops below from Homegoods

I ordered all other candy from Bulkfoods.com. They have great selections and different sizes that can be ordered. Also the shipping price is fantastic!

The chocolate covered apples and skate cookies were made by Joy Blakeney of Joyful Creations. They were yummy and went great with the dessert display.
