The day could have not been any better. Bailey was so happy and that is truly what most matters to me.
Okay, now on to the party details!
I began planning this party by using a logo that was placed on everything from the outer envelop label to the backdrop of the trinket/candy buffet. This is always an easy way to make sure your party flows together. So I decided on the Batman, Spiderman & Baileyman(ie:Superman) symbols as my logo.
Here is the outside envelop for the invitation. Inner portion here
The Backdrop for the Candy/Trinket Buffet. I used 3 big pieces of styrofoam(Micheal's). Hot glued them together. Bought glittered card stock paper in Red Blue and Yellow and printed out Large size symbols and placed in each square. The center square was a decoupage #5(5 found at paper source) with a smaller version of the logo.
This was also a papermache # 5 and Round Container found at Hobby Lobby. I decoupage these with a smaller version of the logo.
Cones made with the same printed logo
I also made popcorn boxes with slightly larger version of the logo.
When the Kids arrived, they were greeted with a Do-it-yourself Superhero kit. As you recall in a previous post, the kits were made by Sew Plain Jane. The kids loved this activity and wore their capes the entire party.
Then to complete their super hero look, they were off to face painting. Amy Tam is the fastest, greatest, nicest face painter I have ever encountered. She not only did 25 kids, but she did several adults, and some kids came back for seconds. Seriously, if you reside in the Baltimore/DC area you have to use her.
Then the kids went on to play in the Huge Bounce house, ball pit and amused themselves with several games. The location of the party took place at Confetti's Event Center in Towson, Maryland. They supplied all tables, chairs, the Moon bounce, car ball pit, Carnaval games, balloons, Super Hero costumes and Super Hero cut out. Some party decor. Food Table with a framed(Ikea) picture of Bailey and Spider man taken at Universal Studios. I also had smaller pictures with several other superhero's on the table. Didn't get any shots of those.
Kids table with the decoupage Bailey Sign. Truly inspired by Jamie Bryant's of Setting the Mood's Wonder Woman party.
Table setting. I continued the logo on to the water bottles and the napkin wraps. This wouldn't have been a party without Spiderman and Batman
Trinket/Candy Favor Buffet. The kids and parents went wild over this.
Most of the Trinkets were purchased at the Dollar Tree. They have an amazing superhero collection. I found Superman glow in the dark rings at Shindgz, and Batman items from the dollar section of Target and also ordered some super hero items from Oriental trading.
Bags with the logo and thank you on round labels brought from paper source. Bags purchased at Michael'sI found the perfect buckets for the candy from the dollar section at Target. Just in time for the Party. The Batman Logo went perfect!
No Shortage of Super Hero's
