Sneak Peek-Bears & Bees Baby Shower

The shower was such a cute delight. I really enjoyed putting this dessert table together. The colors worked perfectly and the Bees and Bears were such a cute touch.

Just a little snippet. I'll post the rest of the pictures soon.

Girl Nautical Baby Shower-Pink and Navy

Somehow, I have been deemed the Office Baby Shower Girl. The next one is for a male(who by the way requested a shower-Is that against man law?) and is having a girl. I decided on a Navy(for him) and Pink(for her) shower. His wife will of course be in attendance :-).

I also love these invitations from Ink Obsession Designs & Party Box Design.

Bees & Bears Baby Shower

I wanted to share what I have been doing this last week. The Bees & Bears Baby Shower is coming up soon and I was initially only doing a dessert table, but now I'm styling the entire event. The client however is on a tight budget, but I believe that I came up with some budget friendly centerpieces. Check them out below.

Centerpiece 1

Can you believe that they have these cute little brown bears at the dollar store..perfect. The boxes I got from Michael's for a previous party. Small box is 1.29 and large is 1.59. Ribbon from Micheal's at 50% off this week plus an extra 15% with a coupon. The flowers are from Micheal's at 60% off this week. The bees are from Hobby Lobby 1.99 for 5 bees.

Centerpiece 2

The polka dot container I have had for about a year and never got to use it. Perfect chance! 5.99 from Home Goods. Just added some flowers, bees and a yellow ribbon.

So what do you think?

Yellow and Brown Baby Shower "Bees and Bears"

I call this one Bees and Bears Baby Shower. I was contacted to complete a Brown and Yellow baby shower dessert buffet. This was not one of my favorite color pallets, but after searching the web for inspiration, I became very excited and love the colors. It is some great parties out here, so be sure to go to the credit links below and check them out.
So with the Dessert buffet I plan on using flower cookies, several different candy, pretzel sticks, caramel popcorn and cupcakes. I will incorporate the bees and bears in the signage and in the other decor. I love the pennant banner so this will definitely be a party of the backdrop with some possible poms. Very Simple but Beautiful

Summer Joy Bridal Shower

I am throwing a summer bridal shower. I love the summer time! When I started to think of colors, I remembered that my best friend sorority colors are salmon pink and apple green. She loves these colors and even has a room in her house in the colors. I also remembered that when we were going over colors for her wedding, she fell in love with pink and grey.
So what's a girl to do? Well if you know me, you know that I am not afraid of mixing colors. So I'm going with all of them. The color pallet will be Apple green, Salmon pink and Grey. After I did the inspiration board, I knew it was perfect.
I just love the design on the cake. I'm thinking of incorporating this in the shower.

Super Hero Party

The day could have not been any better. Bailey was so happy and that is truly what most matters to me.

Okay, now on to the party details!
I began planning this party by using a logo that was placed on everything from the outer envelop label to the backdrop of the trinket/candy buffet. This is always an easy way to make sure your party flows together. So I decided on the Batman, Spiderman & Baileyman(ie:Superman) symbols as my logo.
Here is the outside envelop for the invitation. Inner portion here
The Backdrop for the Candy/Trinket Buffet. I used 3 big pieces of styrofoam(Micheal's). Hot glued them together. Bought glittered card stock paper in Red Blue and Yellow and printed out Large size symbols and placed in each square. The center square was a decoupage #5(5 found at paper source) with a smaller version of the logo.
This was also a papermache # 5 and Round Container found at Hobby Lobby. I decoupage these with a smaller version of the logo.

Cones made with the same printed logo
I also made popcorn boxes with slightly larger version of the logo.
When the Kids arrived, they were greeted with a Do-it-yourself Superhero kit. As you recall in a previous post, the kits were made by Sew Plain Jane. The kids loved this activity and wore their capes the entire party.
Then to complete their super hero look, they were off to face painting. Amy Tam is the fastest, greatest, nicest face painter I have ever encountered. She not only did 25 kids, but she did several adults, and some kids came back for seconds. Seriously, if you reside in the Baltimore/DC area you have to use her.
Then the kids went on to play in the Huge Bounce house, ball pit and amused themselves with several games. The location of the party took place at Confetti's Event Center in Towson, Maryland. They supplied all tables, chairs, the Moon bounce, car ball pit, Carnaval games, balloons, Super Hero costumes and Super Hero cut out. Some party decor. Food Table with a framed(Ikea) picture of Bailey and Spider man taken at Universal Studios. I also had smaller pictures with several other superhero's on the table. Didn't get any shots of those.
Kids table with the decoupage Bailey Sign. Truly inspired by Jamie Bryant's of Setting the Mood's Wonder Woman party.
Table setting. I continued the logo on to the water bottles and the napkin wraps. This wouldn't have been a party without Spiderman and Batman
Trinket/Candy Favor Buffet. The kids and parents went wild over this.
Most of the Trinkets were purchased at the Dollar Tree. They have an amazing superhero collection. I found Superman glow in the dark rings at Shindgz, and Batman items from the dollar section of Target and also ordered some super hero items from Oriental trading.
Bags with the logo and thank you on round labels brought from paper source. Bags purchased at Michael'sI found the perfect buckets for the candy from the dollar section at Target. Just in time for the Party. The Batman Logo went perfect!
No Shortage of Super Hero's

I got Bailey's cape, eye mask and gloves from Chasing Fireflies.
We both fell in love with it.
Happy Birthday Banner from ShindgzCake from Cakes Plus in Laurel Maryland. They never fail me.
Bailey had the most amazing day and I pray that all of his dreams come true!
