St. Patricks Day Sip and See

Happy St. Patricks Day! Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of putting together an Irish Sip and See. It was only a small group of friends, but we had a wonderful time and got to see the most precious baby.

Here are the Details
It first started with a little boy holding a clover and the word So Lucky. What a perfect theme, because the mother and father feel So Lucky to have this little bundle of joy in their lives.

Of course we had to have a photo booth with our Precious little Leprechaun.

I got the free printable banner for the photo booth from Paging All Moms. You can find them here. I added some black and white polkadot ribbon and sparkly clovers found at the dollar tree.

And we can't forget about the wonderful food that Tamika's friend Jonni provided. Key lime pie complete with a clover lime, Irish soda bread just to name a few.

Then of course the alcohol. What would the see be without the sip?
By the end of the night we were all a little done with the sipping and decided to sit down for the last photo booth picture.

Hope you enjoyed and again, Happy St. Patricks Day!

Irish Inspired Sip and See

Getting ready for an Irish Inspired Sip and See. What better day to Celebrate a baby than on St. Patrick's Day? The Mother can finally have a beer or a glass of wine! Friends and Family can come celebrate and see the new addition to the family. Check out the beginning party decorations below.
The Font is Irish Uncialfabeta from Dafont.
The Little Boy was purchased from Silhouette Online Store.

Glittered Safari Animals Centerpiece

I completed the glittered safari animals for the Zoo Crew Baby Shower. I think they turned out pretty well. I'm excited about it! Check out the before and after pictures. I told you the steps I was following from the previous post here. It took me approximately 2 1/2 days. Mostly because of drying time and my work schedule. I suspect that you could probably finish this in 3 steps over 2 days.

I started with a grey plastic elephant, Hippo and Giraffe from the dollar section of Michael's
I used blue and green paint for plastic(purchased at Michaels) and painted the entire animal the same color as the glittered paint that I used.

Then I sprayed them with Krylon glitter paint. Followed by Krylon clear sealant.

Next I drilled a small hole in the bottom (slightly off centered due to the face portion of the animal being top heavy) of the animal and put a wooden dowel in the bottom.

Target typically sells the buckets for 2.50. I placed 2 foam squares from the dollar tree at the bottom of the bucket. I also got the grass from the dollar tree and stuck it into the green foam squares.

Check out the finish product below. I think this is the beginning of a great centerpiece.

Office Baby Shower-Zoo Crew

We are having another Office Baby Shower. I really love to do these because I like to show that office parties can be fabulous too! I have previously done 2 office parties here and here and I recently did the office Christmas Party(unfortunately no pics).

A co-worker that I have known for the pass seven years got married last year and is now expecting her first child. I couldn't think of a more deserving person to throw a shower for. This one is going to be a surprise because she would never let us do it any other way.

So I have secretly found her registry to get some ideas of her style and what would be perfect for a shower. Below is her babies bedding-Zoo Crew by Just Born. I think that this is the most perfect simple theme and the colors are to die for.  Check it out below.

I love the minimalistic modern zoo theme. It really speaks to her personality as well. She is not a fussy person and pretty much stays to herself.
So of course I had to create an inspiration board as I did for the two previous showers. I love the thought of using Chevron in Navy blue and incorporating sparkly animals. I'm going to try to do this myself. Wish me luck!

Pink and Green Graduation Party

I did a couple of parties this summer. It was pretty hectic for a while, but I pulled it through in between the several trips that I went on. It has been a great summer and I look forward to next year.

Anywho....here is the first party. It was a college graduation cookout. The guest of honor is in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, so what better colors to use than pink and green.

Skating Birthday Party

The skating party went so great. The kids had a blast. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the actual kids skating because I was decorating for the skating after party that was located at the birthday girls home.

The Invitation that set the tone for the day

Here is the Birthday Girl

Cake

Once again Cakes Plus of Laurel Maryland did a great job of creating the perfect color and design for the skating party. I just love the skates on the top.

Favors

Purple Satin boxes from Michael's dollar section. I just added a purple and green polka dot bow and stuffed it with green tissue paper and Friendship necklace with two charms that said Laugh and Love

Make your own bracelet

The kids had a great time making their own fashion bracelet.

Sweet Shoppe

There was so much candy, cookies and treats that it almost didn't fit. This was a kids heaven.

I made the pretzel sticks, marshmallow pops and cones.

Marshmallow lollipops below from Homegoods

I ordered all other candy from Bulkfoods.com. They have great selections and different sizes that can be ordered. Also the shipping price is fantastic!

The chocolate covered apples and skate cookies were made by Joy Blakeney of Joyful Creations. They were yummy and went great with the dessert display.
