Hollywood Theme Bridal Shower

Check out the pictures from the Hollywood Bridal Shower that I had the pleasure of decorating a couple of weeks ago. The Bride-to-be could have not been more perfect for this theme. 

She is vibrant, sassy and fun!

It all started with this invitation that I created. It set the stage for a Hollywood Bash!

It felt only fitting that we needed popcorn to enjoy the show, so I created a popcorn and cupcake bar. We had three different types of popcorn bought from BJ's. It was a good amount for 40 people and everyone really enjoyed it. The cupcakes were custom Hollywood Cupcakes from CAKEXXI by Raquel.

The Large Hollywood Vinyl Star was bought from Shindigz. It was huge!  I cut it down in size in order to fit my backdrop board. The black and white table cloth was actually fabric that can be found at Ikea by the yard.   

I got the gold letter balloons from Balloon Fast. Believe me when I say, they were fast. The 16" balloons were a great alternative to getting the jumbo 36" balloons and at a fraction of the cost.  

They Wishing Tree I already had in my storage. But you can purchase one at efavormart.

I spray painted an old dress form that I had gold and also spray painted the Ikea picture frames. 

The centerpieces were made up of several different items.

 The foam comedy and tragedy mask were bought from Awesome Events. They came white.  I just spray painted them and added glitter and sealed them with Modge Podge Sealer. You can buy these in different sizes or already finished with glitter if you are not up for a craft. 

The gold film reel was also bought at Awesome Events. You can also purchase this in a variety of colors. 

The Clapboard was purchased at Shindiz. The film strip placed around the box was purchased on Amazon. I just added a couple of selflies of the Bride-to-be. 

The Red Carpet Personalized Standee! This was really fun. This was purchased at Shindigz.

As you can see, the Bride-to-be had a wonderful time and was all smiles. It wouldn't have been a red carpet event without her walking the red carpet.

DIY Custom Monogram

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of developing a Monograms and Mimosas Bridal Shower. I wanted the Bride-to-be new Monogram to hang over the dessert table, but I had to stay within the Hostesses Budget. So ordering one was not an option. On to the DIY. 

So here is what you need:

• Hot Glue Gun
• Mod Podge
• Foam Paint Brush
• Glitter(how many colors depends on the look you want). I used 5 (very colorful shower) colors for a ombre look
• White paint(any craft paint for wood)
• Wooden/Cardboard letters (Small Purchased at Hobby Lobby Large Purchased at Michael's)
• Fishing wire for hanging
• 3M Hanging Solution 

1. I started first with the letters that I got from Hobby Lobby. I wanted to make sure that the glitter showed very well, so I painted them white. As you can see, one coat was not enough so two coats did the job.

 I did all three letters separately.  If I had to do it again, I would have hot glued the letters together first in order to make sure the ombre look was cohesive between all three. It worked out in the end, but would have been so much easier (trail and error)!

2. Spread Mod Podge on with your foam paint brush approximately 3-4 inches Stripe (because I had more colors).
3.  Began Glittering. I went from the bottom up Starting with the Darkest color first.  It was easier for me that way. Some began from the top down beginning with the lightest color first. Whichever way works for you.
4. Repeat Step 2 and 3( Paint another 3-4 inches stripe above your darkest color and sprinkle on a mixture of your next color and the one prior).

 After you have finish Glittering. Let dry for 24 hours. 

My letters came with hooks so the hanging was pretty simple. Just attach the fishing wire and hang with  the Command 3m hanging system. This is a very heavy structure, so be sure it is secure. 

Monogram & Mimosas Bridal Shower

This weekend, I had the pleasure of creating and decorating a Monogram and Mimosas Brunch Bridal Shower. We used the most vibrant and fun colors. When you have Mimosas involved, it can lead to nothing but fun all the way around. 

The colors were Pink, Purple, Orange and Yellow. I love the look of Ombre, so I used it wherever I could throughout the shower. 

This was the champagne bottle that I decorated in Pink and Gold Ombre. Then of course I added the love sign in an Ombre Purple. You can find this wooden love sign in Michael's.

Here is the Mimosa Bar. I used Polka dots and Lines for the signage. This brought a vibrant fun vibe to the table. 

This cute little frame came from Michaels for just 2 dollars.  

Also love the silhouette of the woman holding the champagne glass. Perfect depiction of the bride to be. 

 We added a dessert buffet at the last min, but it was perfect for the Ombre letters that I made. The large C came from Michael's and the two smaller letters are from Hobby Lobby. I just used glitter to Ombre the letters and hot glued them together. This was a time consuming task, so I suggest that if you don't have the time, you can always order from Ten23 Designs. They have such beautiful items!

You can't go wrong with a 36 inch Pink Balloon. I ordered this one from Fancy That Loved. Ashley got the item to me very quick. I made the tassel garland to add to the balloon. Look out for the tutorial in a later post.

One of the lovely bridesmaids made the cupcakes and unfortunatly they melted during transport. But the cute little cake toppers I made help them look like this was all part of the plan…lol. This is a proven fact that nothing is every perfect at your party. 

We wrote advice to the bride to be.

The centerpieces were created by using a white box from Michaels, faux floral flowers so the bride can enjoy for a long time and I topped it off with glittered wooden letters. Plain letters found at Michaels. I added a wooden dowel to hold the letter up. 

You can't have a brunch without brunch food. The guest enjoyed, Quiche, french toast sticks, Parfaits, mini pancakes and bacon and sausage on skewers. 

What would a Party be if you didn't top it off with a mini photo shoot with the bride and groom! They were such a fun couple. Congrats to you both!

Royal Baby Shower Project 1

The first project that I have completed for the Royal Baby Shower "Hails" from the Dollar Tree. This is my go to place for inexpensive finds. We all love the big pacifiers and baby carriages. I found the acrylic pacifiers and plastic baby carriages and painted them a metallic gold. Perfect for the shower. 

I used Metallic gold paint, Martha Stewart's glitter paint and a yellow paint as the base(all purchased at Michael's for under 2 dollars). I couldn't have asked for a better result. Check it out below. 

Zoo Crew Chevron Baby Shower Invitation

I recently completed the Zoo Crew Chevron Baby Shower Invitation. I wanted to make something very simple but remain with the theme and the feel of the shower. I got the free Chevron template from TLT Panel and the free elephant silhouette from Karen Whimsy. I wanted to add a little sparkle because I plan on bringing sparkle to the shower. Check it out!

DIY Glittered Animals

So in the last post I mention that I was going to attempt to do the glittered animals on my own to save money on the Zoo Crew Baby Shower. I went on a google search because of course I had no idea how to do this. I found a couple of blogs giving detail DIY glittered animal instructions.
