5 year Bloggerversary Giveaway

On April 11, 2014, I celebrated a 5 year Bloggerversary. I can't believe that I have been doing this for 5 years. It has been a blast and an amazing time. I find so many creative people in the Blog
World and have connected with some super cool women. Though my life has gone in so many directions in the last 5 years, I could always rely on the party world to keep me elevated.

In celebration of my 5 years, I wanted to give back to my readers. So the only way I could think of how to do this is giving 1 lucky reader a custom paperie party package. It will include a custom design/theme of your choice and 5 items that I will print and mail to you! These items include Invitations (30) Favor Tags (30), Dessert Buffet Signs (up to 12), Custom Table Signs (up to 12), and a Banner (1).

This is the way that I tend to pull a party together to be cohesive.

I'm Back

It has been 3 months since I last blogged. I have missed the blog world a lot and it feels good to be back. So many things have taken me away from my love of all things Party. Since nothing, besides my family makes me more happier, I had to come back.

This is the time of the year that gives me the best feeling. Not just because of the Holiday's but because I am knee deep in planning my son's 5th birthday party. See previous parties here, here and here. He is so excited which makes me excited and I want to make this day even more special.

My theme this year is Super Heroes. Bailey is in love (Below Bailey as Spider man for Halloween). I don't know where it came from since he is not allowed to watch them as of yet.

I created the invitation for Bailey's birthday. Of course in none other than Microsoft Word. I placed it on this great black glitter paper found at Micheal's. This is the insert it will be placed in the half moon enclosure from Paper Source and then in the the yellow envelope also from Paper Source pictured below. Once I receive everything I will show you the finished product.

I have also been searching for inspiration for cakes. Of course it has to be a tiered cake and something pretty special. Check out what I found below.

Cakesbysam.com

Love these cupcakes from Geek Cake. This is definitely inspiration that will be used.

If I feel too excited and have an endless budget(Ha Ha) Maybe I'll try this cake.

I can't leave without showing this fabulous Super Hero Table Scape by Jamee Bryant of Setting the Mood. I only hope that my party looks this fabulous

It's My Party!

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was having a Birthday Party. Just a small get together that I normally do every year with my closest friends. Microsoft Word has done it again! Below I created the invitation in the colors of the party.

Here is the Inspiration board that I created for the post on Birthday Girl here.

My 33rd All Women Birthday Party

So my birthday is coming up. Okay it's in a month, September 1st. But I am planning a birthday party because I haven't had one since I was 29. What better way to celebrate than with your closest friends. So I decided to do something a little different. I'm starting a women's group. There is nothing more uplifting and empowering than a group of women together. We can solve all world problems! (maybe not all)

Below I developed a color board for my 33rd Birthday Party. I love the colors of Red, Turquoise and Lime Green. I decided to take those colors one step further and add black and white. What fun! I can't wait to bring all of the colors together in the decor just as I brought them in my handmade invitations(as always giving just respect to Microsoft Word).

Red, Turquoise, and Lime Notepad Kit: Gartner Studios

Kids Guest Bedroom: Domino magazine, June/July 2008(no longer in production)

Tiered Cakes: Confetti Cakes

Green and Blue Dining Room: Things that Inspire Blogspot

Kitchen: Country Living

Turquoise and Red polka dot cake: Cakes by Victoria

Do it Yourself Invitations

Ever go on the internet searching for invitations that would complete the vision of your party? Well I have been through them all. After feeling lost and not fufilled, I decided to create my own invitations. Now I'm no graphic designer, so Clip art and Microsoft Word became my best friend. As long as you are developing for personal reasons, you should be ok with the copyright laws. Below are some of invitations that I have made.
