Small and Simply Perfect Bridal Shower

My sister Monica is getting married this September and last weekend we showered her with love. Monica is a quiet non-flashy bride and wants to keep things very simple and elegant. This shower was perfect for her! The bridal shower was put together by her Matron of Honor Iazia and her bridesmaid, LaTasha. The location was King Contrivance in Columbia, Maryland. (great location for weddings and events & the food was superb!)I just wanted to share a couple of pictures.

It's My Party!

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was having a Birthday Party. Just a small get together that I normally do every year with my closest friends. Microsoft Word has done it again! Below I created the invitation in the colors of the party.

Here is the Inspiration board that I created for the post on Birthday Girl here.

Fleur de lis Bridal Shower

I love so many bloggers and there are several that I must read daily for inspiration. So when one of my favorite bloggers, Michelle from Maddycake Muse asked me to create her sister's bridal shower, I was floored. She is such a creative savvy person and just to think that she totally put her trust in me to make her sister's day special brought the biggest compliment and smile ever.

Unfortunately, Michelle and I received a shock when her sister announced that she was getting married in May. So the shower that I was planning and the wedding that Michelle was planning was no longer.

But who can deny true love! Read the story of Michelle's sister here.

Any who, Since the shower would have been yesterday and I loved the inspiration board that I created I thought I would share it with you. So enjoy!

Purple and Silver Bridal Shower

As promised, here are the rest of the pictures from the Purple, Lavender and Silver Bridal Shower. The day was perfect! The location was the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (Beautiful). This was one of the previous homes to our now President. The colors and atmosphere in the hotel worked perfectly as a backdrop for the shower.

I was only hired to complete the Dessert Buffet, but how could I not take pictures of the other decor which complimented the dessert table perfectly. Check it out!

The invitations were ordered by the Brides sister, Jennifer (not sure of the company). I just took a copy and used it to make the buffet cards. Below in the center is the invitation and my buffet cards. I think it was a great match!

The cupcakes worked perfectly with the buffet. These were ordered by Jennifer as well.

This was the table setting, absolutely stunning! Jennifer did a perfect combination of purples to make it look so elegant.

For the favor, Jennifer designed a cookie of her sister as a child, too cute!

Bradley's Thomas the Train Birthday

Saturday was spent with some of my favorite people. My friend Candace and her family are my heart and it was an honor to assist with her sons third birthday. Candace is a lot like me when it comes to kids parties. She goes over the top.
Bradley's party took place at the B&O railroad museum in Baltimore. If you are ever in the area it's a fantastic place to explore with your children. FYI, this entire party had to be set up in 30 min! Check out all the pictures below

Birthday Boy Bradley

Each child received a hat and a bandanna

I re-created the centerpieces from the Thomas the train party found on P is for Party. They were originally created by Kelly from the Party Dress and Melissa from Project Nursery. I used 2.00 boxes found at Michael's.

Candace found the suitcases from the Land of Nod. This worked perfectly for the favors
